Long Airside Flight Training

  • PROFESSIONAL PILOT PROGRAM
    INDIVIDUAL COURSES

  • Private Pilot Certificate – (PPL)

The ground training consists of three parts: one-on-one ground instruction from an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, instructor-guided home study program, and an online test preparation program to prepare the student for the FAA Private Pilot written exam. The ground training provides the student knowledge and understanding in the following subjects:
Aircraft systems, airworthiness, aerodynamics, loading, performance, airspace, airports, air traffic control, safety of flight, aviation weather, understand the rule, federal aviation regulations, aeronautical information manual, flight physiology, navigation planning, avionics, flight physiology, navigation planning.
The ground training is done in conjunction with the flight training segment of the course to reinforce the ground school concepts with actual flying experience. The student is required to complete a ground school final exam prior to any solo flights.
    Prerequisites:
    • Be at least 17 years old.
    • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
    • Hold at least a third class medical.

  • Airplane Instrument Rating – (IR)

The Instrument Rating (IR) Certification Course: is the next step for pilots who have obtained private pilot license. Airplane instrument rating pilot enables you to fly in various weather conditions. This rating qualifies a pilot to fly solely with the reference of aircraft instruments.

The certification is supplementary to the private pilot or commercial pilot licenses and qualifies the pilot to fly under the instrument flight rules(IFR).

Long Airside Flight Training offers a Instrument Rating Course (IR) flight training on Cessna 172 Flight amd/or Flight Simulator, or flight training device. Instrument rating course can be completed in both part-time and full-time basis IR Course

The ground instruction consists of three parts: one-on-one ground instruction from an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, instructor-guided home study program, and an online test preparation program to prepare the student for the FAA Instrument Rating written exam.

The primary objective of ground training is to provide the students with the knowledge and understanding of the following subjects: attitude flying, communications, radio navigation aids, charts, procedures, holding, approaches, meteorology, task prioritization, CRM, aero medical factors, and the IFR system.

    Prerequisites:
    • Hold an FAA Private Pilot’s Certificate.

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate – Multi-Engine (CPL/ME) or
    * Single-Engine Add-On (CPL/SE)

The ground training consists of three parts: one-on-one ground instruction from an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, instructor-guided home study program, and an online test preparation program to prepare the student for the FAA Commercial Pilot written exam.

The primary objective of ground training is to provide students with well above normal Commercial Pilot and instrument rating level knowledge in understanding the following subjects:

Aircraft systems, airworthiness, aerodynamics, loading, performance, airspace, airports, air traffic control, safety of flight, high altitude operations, aviation weather and weather charts, recognition of critical weather situations and wind-shear avoidance, federal aviation regulations, aeronautical information manual, navigation planning, avionics, flight physiology, aeronautical decision making and judgment, crew resource management (CRM).

    Prerequisites:
    • Hold an FAA Private Pilot’s Certificate.
    • Hold an Instrument Rating.

  • Airline Trainsport Pilot Prep

  • Certified Flight Instructor

Structure Standardization of pilot training within the Long Airside Flight Training of Professional Aviation is achieved by the use of the Private, Instrument, and Commercial Training Course Outlines (TCOs). Flight training consists of two main components –

Fundamentals of Instructing For all flight or ground instructor certificates, you must pass the Fundamentals of Instructing (FOI) knowledge test. This test must only be passed once. It is not required if you are already a CFI or want to upgrade an existing ground instructor certificate. You may also skip the FOI test if you hold a teacher's certificate issued by a state, county, city, or municipality that authorizes you to teach at a 7th grade educational level or higher or are employed as a teacher at an accredited college or university.

Flight Instructors Determine what type of flight instructor certificate you want to pursue. Purchase the aviation book Flight/Ground Instructor Kit. everything you need to study and reference in order to prepare for the FAA knowledge test, also known as the written exam. This computerized test has the multiple choice test questions

There are several tests required to become a flight or ground instructor, including the Fundamentals of Instructing (FOI) knowledge test, and a test specific to the type of instructor certificate you are seeking. This includes Flight Instructor Airplane (FIA), Sport Pilot Flight Instructor (SIA), Basic Ground Instructor (BGI), Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI), or Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI). More information about the knowledge tests is available in step 2 below. A practical test is required for a flight instructor certificate, but not for ground instructors

    Prerequisites:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • Read, speak, and understand English

    • Hold a commercial or ATP certificate

    • Hold at least a current second-class FAA medical certificate

  • X-Plane Visual Flight Training

Learn about what is required, how you can get started, and what Long Airside Flight Training and collaborated with other aviation training products can help you achieve your dreams of becoming a Flight.

A flight simulator, also known as Flight Training Device (FTD), A flight simulator artificially simulates aircraft flight in various environments and conditions. Flight training in a simulator allows pilots to practice difficult maneuvers under all sorts of weather conditions and at airports all around the world. Pilots can experience variations in air density, wind shear, turbulence, clouds, and precipitation.

  • Airplane Multi-Engine Ratings

Flight training consists of two main components – ground school and flight instruction – and Long Airside Flight Training will provide the strong foundational knowledge and skills you need. In ground school, students learn information that all pilots need to know, such as basic aerodynamics, regulations, aircraft systems, navigation, weather avoidance, stall/spin awareness, and radio communications

  • Aviation English Theological

Long Airside Flight Training is a domestic training provider but can train international students under certain circumstances

  • FAA Designated Examiners

The Greater Phoenix Area has a large group of FAA Designated Examiners (DPE’s) that conduct checkrides for our students. Normally, our Flight Department will schedule checkrides for our students. If you are coming in for a finish-off rating or accelerated course, you might want to pre-arrange a checkride with an examiner prior to booking your travel.

  • Ground School in Classroom or Online Academic.

Standardization of pilot training within the Long Airside Flight Training of Professional Aviation is achieved by the use of the Training Course Outlines (TCOs).

This TCO outlines the training required to achieve the proficiency specified in the Airman Certification Standards (ACS). Is prescribes the course content, instructions to conduct the training, and the approximate time necessary to successfully complete all requirements.

Long Airside Flight Training, each TCO is divided into a Ground Training Syllabus and a Flight Training Syllabus. Ground training lesson times will be divided as appropriate to fit a normal college class schedule.
